David Jacobson, Chief, Electric Propulsion Systems Branch, NASA GRC

Dave Jacobson has supported the in-space propulsion discipline at NASA Glenn Research Center for more than 20 years. Initially he conducted evaluations of Russian Hall thruster technology and supported the EPDM and EXPRESS flight demonstration missions and later performed research and development of this technology for NASA applications. He also served as the Component Engineer for the development of the Orion Main Engine and the Subsystem Manager for the Orion Service Module Main Propulsion System. Dave is currently the Chief of the Electric Propulsion Systems Branch and is a recent recipient the Outstanding Leadership Medal Agency Honor Award.
