Through the efforts of the American Astronautical Society’s book publishing arm, Univelt, Inc. in San Diego, the society presents books in the following series:

In the Advances in the Astronautical Sciences series, three volumes
were recently added and several new volumes will soon be added to an already
long list of publications that have helped to shape the future of space exploration:

5, based on a Conference held in Hawaii.
o Now Available: Charles S. Cockell, editor, Martian Expedition Planning, based
on a BIS Symposium held in London, England. Univelt, Inc. has published several
volumes in the Science and Technology Series relating to the past, current and

Of special significance, the two latest volumes in the AAS History

o Now Available: Hervé Moulin and Donald C. Elder, editors, History of Rocketry and Astronautics, based on the International Academy of Astronautics History Sessions held in conjunction with the International Astronautical Congresses.
o Now Available: By Gary L. Harris, The Origins and Technology of the Advanced
Extravehicular Space Suit. For the first time, in any book, an introductory
engineering look at the history, evolution and future of the world’s advanced
extra-vehicular (EVA) space suits beyond that of the Apollo space suit system
is described.
