AAS’s official 60th Anniversary Celebration is July 16, and you and a guest are invited to attend as our guests. Here are the details for what will be a most enjoyable and exciting evening:


Time:  6:00 – 9:00 pm

Venue:  Historic (and recently refurbished) National Academy of Sciences Building on Constitution Avenue in Washington, DC




-- In the auditorium, presentation of the AAS Lifetime Achievement Award to Edward Stone, who will be introduced by Charles Elachi.


-- Showing of the film “I want to be an Astronaut” followed by a panel discussion with CharlieBolden, Sandy Magnus, Laura Delgado Lopez and Trevor Waddell.  John Grunsfeld will moderate.


-- Reception will follow in the Great Hall.


In order to attend, your RSVP must have been submitted no later than July 11.
